Halloween: Trick Photos, Day Two!
We received so many responses to our invitation to share “trick” photos in honor of Halloween that we decided to post them over two days. We thought we were the only clever ones out there, but we were wrong. For these imaginative photographers, holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa is amateur hour!
I don’t really know how she did it, but Sonja from To Europe With Kids managed to make it look like her kids are falling off a cliff at the Grand Canyon. Let me be clear: I wouldn’t be this close to the edge without a double dose of valium.
Adrienne from Albany Kid is getting some help from her daughter in holding up the Washington Monument in DC. Well, someone’s gotta do it.
Now we’re headed abroad, to Potsdam, Germany. Jen from The Vacation Gals, along with her daughters and their cousin, came upon a pedestal with no statue. “The fact that they are fully clothed ought to tip you off that they are not, in fact, marble statues,” she tells us (somewhat relieved, I should think!)
While visiting the Chocolate Hills in Bohol, Philippines, Kay from The Kay Days decided to take a rest!
And finally, one more from our own vault. One of the reasons we visited The Big E fair in Massachusetts was for the great fair food. Most notably, the “Craz-E” burger. But even this corn dog was a little too much for The Boy, who has quite the appetite!
These are awesome! I love trying to capture something fun like these on trips. Hasn’t happened yet, but I am inspired!
Wonderful photos; so clever, Keep them coming!!
No, no, that’s not corny at all. LOL!
Love the pic from the Phillippines! Fun post!
Thanks for featuring my picture! What fun posts yesterday and today! I’m linked to you on my blog!
Thanks again!
Now that’s fun!
That is a BIG corn dog!! ….I’d probably still given it a go. 🙂
Great pictures. I can only hope for a third day of them.
Aww, sorry to disappoint, Pat. Just two days’ worth!
They are some great fun shots. Quite a novel but entertaining way to celebrate Halloween. I liked the Grand Canyon picture the most out of all of them.
Isn’t that one awesome? I would enlarge it and frame it to hang in the kids’ room!
I love these types of photos. Sometimes it takes me a minute to truly understand what they are doing. Like the last picture, I first looked at it and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary and then I noticed he wasn’t really holding that corn dog 🙂
I know, that corn dog one really is one of the best I’ve taken. You have to be steady, and spot on with your camera angle so everything lines up correctly to give the right perspective. No blinking or sneezing allowed!
I guess I’m too late to add this one! http://goo.gl/u80jB (there is a bigger version if u want) 🙂
Awesome pic! Too late for this year…but maybe next!
Beautiful Pictures, snapped cleverly. But it does not seem to be pictures of Halloween day.
I love the Grand Canyon one!!! Awesome! I would be scared out of my mind! 😀
Haha great pictures. The Grand Canyon one is my favourite because I did a similar pose when I visited.
