I spend an inordinate amount of time planning the GBOGH family’s travel, and while I love doing it, I’m always looking for ways to simplify the process! Alamo recently contacted me about its revamped website, and I’m now a fan of its new features, such as the Alamo Deal RetrieverSM tool, and the Alamo Insiders loyalty program. And – woo hoo – Alamo is working with us this week to give away a BIG prize pack to help spread the word!
When Alamo – part of the world’s largest car rental network — re-launched its website, it added the Alamo Deal Retriever system so you can find the best Alamo car rental deal with one click. It searches all valid Alamo deals and coupons on the web to find the best rates to meet your specific needs.
Of course, I tried it out myself. We’re thinking about spending spring break in Myrtle Beach, SC, so I plugged in the dates, and got info on five featured deals, offering either a discount on a set number of days, or a free car upgrade. An additional 10% discount is available if you join the Alamo Insiders program. I think joining (at no cost) is worth it for that perk alone!

I think it’s brilliant! Finding the right rental car can be such a pain in the butt. From my experience, at least you know with Alamo that you’re going to get a comfortable and dependable vehicle, so if they will help me find the best price, too, that’s a total win!

Honestly, I’ve been using google for years for discounts and coupons for most all of my major purchases, and renting a car is one I’ve always searched “Company Name discount coupons codes”. It has saved me so much over time, don’t know I’d do it any different with a company specific engine, it might point you only to the offers that company wants you to take advantage of

I love that it shows several different options and all the ways to save. I am a meticulous planner and hate when you are only shown one form of saving and you have to hunt down any others, it wastes time.
